Know all about AP Courses &
Exams |
The AP exam is the Advanced Placement exam a high school student can take
to get a head start at college. It does not require students to take an
AP course prior to taking an AP Exam. More than 90 percent of colleges
in the U.S. accept AP scores for college credit, but most schools only
award credit for scores of four or five. AP tests are scored on a scale
from one to five, with five being the highest. Even schools that do not
offer credit for high AP scores often ask for scores as part of
the admissions process. Each AP course has a corresponding exam that
participating schools worldwide administer in May every year.
