eTutorWorld was founded in Glen Arbor, Michigan and Bangalore, India in 2008 with a mission to provide the highest quality of online private tutoring in math and science.

Mukul Agrawal is a leading technologist and experienced corporate executive with 27 years experience at leading global technology companies and banks, Unisys, Tatas, Citibank and Deutsche Bank. Ashima Sarkar is the Operations Director. She has extensive experience in both classroom teaching and online tutoring.

After extensive field testing across the US over a six month period, with excellent student feedback, eTutorWorld has launched its new online tutoring and homework help services, US nationwide, in math and science for grades 5-12 including select AP courses, in March 2009.

How it Works:
This innovative tutoring service uses full voice communication, online chat, web content sharing and unique interactive whiteboard technology for live interaction between the tutor and student. Students work from the comfort and safety of their home. Students can pre-schedule the sessions up to six weeks in advance, with the option of same tutor for continuity, or a session can be scheduled the same day, as and when the student needs help.

Math: Elementary, Algebra 1, Algebra 11, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, Math for Community College

Science:  Elementary, Integrated Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, AP Physics, AP Chemistry, AP Biology

Hours:
3:00 p.m. until 12 midnight EST, seven days a week

Learning Packages:
Individual sessions for $22 per session
Monthly plan (5 sessions) $89
Quarterly plan (15 sessions) $259
Add on session (for monthly / quarterly plan) $18 per session
All sessions are 50 minutes. Parents purchase the required learning packages as per student’s tutoring need. Validity is 30 days from date of purchase for individual sessions and monthly plan, and 90 days for the quarterly plan.

Tutor Profile:
eTutorWorld teaching staff is highly qualified and experienced in their respective subjects, but more than teachers, they are mentors. They were specially selected for their kind and caring approach with students.

Technology:
All tutoring sessions are performed using standard home computer technology. Any personal computer (PC or Mac) may be used at home or another location of choice. In addition, a broadband internet connection and a headset with microphone are required.

Our website uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) 32 bit encryption technology to ensure secure communication. Cisco Webex, world’s #1 web conferencing tool is used for tutoring sessions. Paypal credit card payment gateway is used for accepting secure payments.

Quality and Security:
Student safety and privacy are of utmost importance. eTutorWorld abides by the Child Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). All sessions are recorded and can be reviewed anytime by the parent or the student. Every tutor’s session recordings are reviewed periodically by eTutorWorld Quality Assurance staff.
