All
tutoring sessions are performed using standard home computer
technology. Any personal computer (PC or Mac) may be
used at home or another location of choice. The student
is able to communicate with his or her teacher using:
- live voice communication via Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP).
- an interactive whiteboard for collaboration.
- online sharing of documents.
- Once a student has established his or her own personal login capability, he or she can access,
1) a calendar of personal scheduled session, 2) scheduling tools, and 3) a recording of past sessions.
All sessions are scheduled by the student for a specific day/time in
advance. Students are also able to schedule the same tutor for
all sessions. Scheduled sessions may be rescheduled with a
24-hour notice.
All sessions are recorded (voice,
documents, and annotation) and are available for student or parent
to review. These recordings provide another level of safety and
security. In addition, our website uses Secure Socket Level
(SSL) encryption to ensure secure communication. Further, our
website complies with Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
for safety and security. All of these features allow us and you
the comfort of knowing our website is safe for our students.
Within our eTutorWorld
website, we welcome visitors to learn more about our products and
features. Our specialty is providing tutoring in math and science
in grades 5 through 12. Please see our inclusive list of
subjects on our homepage link. We also include a wide range
of tutoring help with homework, test preparation, AP courses and
test preparation, and advanced subject learning. Our hours of
instruction are 3:00 p.m. to 1 a.m.(Eastern
Standard Time) all seven days of week.
Students interested in
experiencing a trial session may click on the Trial Session link
located on the homepage and schedule a free session at his or
her convenience during our hours of operation. If a student
wishes to purchase a learning session or package, the Buy Now link
on the homepage will give instruction on how to purchase any mix of 1,
5,10 or 30 session Learning Packages - all sessions are 50 minutes
long. Please see the Learning Package link for pricing. All
Learning Packages may be purchased online using a credit card.
